The St. Louis University Hair Transplant 360 Workshop concluded their four-day comprehensive hair restoration workshop designed to teach physician and surgical assistants how to perform hair restoration surgery. Over 60 physician and 30 assistants participated in the program.

Dr. Williams participated as an invited teaching faculty member at a hair restoration surgery workshop teaching hair surgeons how to successfully perform Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). The event, FUE Palazoo 2016, was sponsored by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and Dr. James Harris. The course offered live “hands on” training for physicians learning FUE donor harvesting. The workshop provided 20 physicians from the United States, Asia, Central America, and Europe the opportunity to learn FUE donor harvesting from Dr. James Harris (Colorado), Scott Boden (Connecticut), Brad Wolf (Ohio), Bob True (New York), and Ken Williams (California).

The trustees of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) have appointed Dr. Ken Williams to the Credentialing Committee to review future candidates for the hair restoration certification examination. As a member of the credentialing committee, Dr Williams will review new applicants to determine that they meet eligibility and high standards for board certified hair transplant surgeons.
Dr. Williams continues his membership in the American Medical Association as a member in good standing.
The AMA continues to be an advocate for patients and physicians at the national and state levels to ensure the important issues in medicine today including medical liability reform, increasing access to medical care, improving public health, and managed care reform.

Dr. Williams Reappointed to ISHRS FUE Committee
Dr. Ken Williams of Irvine, California was recently renamed at the 2015 International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) annual scientific meeting in Chicago, as a member of the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) committee, and Chairman of the Scientific studies committee of the ISHRS. This is the fourth year he has been a member of the committee as he was one of the the original members of this committee in 2012.
The FUE committee has been charged by the governing board of the ISHRS to investigate and further the science and art of FUE. Williams adds, “It is an honor to serve the hair restoration international community in leadership with the goal of improving patient cosmetic outcomes and increasing the science and understanding of FUE harvesting technique.”
Dr. Williams is a diplomat of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and Fellow of he ISHRS and active in several leadership roles in this prestigious cosmetic international organization.

The 2015 Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) took place at the historic landmark hotel, Hilton Chicago, with over 800 hair restoration surgeons attending from around the world. Dr. Ken Williams from Irvine, California was the course director for training novice and intermediate surgeons at the Manual FUE workshop, as well as giving three presentations during the education sessions.
